DAY 1: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Your adventure begins early in the morning, with departure from Arusha. After a warm welcome and briefing by your personal guide, you'll embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park.

Upon arrival, you’ll enter a park known for its towering baobab trees, golden savannahs, and the largest concentration of elephants in northern Tanzania. Tarangire is often referred to as a photographer’s paradise—not only for its wildlife but also for the incredible light and dramatic landscapes.

Your full-day game drive will take you across the Tarangire River basin, where large herds of elephants gather to drink and cool off. You’ll also spot zebras, impalas, giraffes, wildebeests, and possibly lions or leopards lounging in the shade. With over 550 bird species, it’s also a birdwatcher’s haven.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in one of the designated scenic spots, surrounded by nature. In the late afternoon, you'll exit the park and drive to the lush highlands of Karatu, located between Tarangire and Ngorongoro.

Check in at mid-range lodge. After a refreshing shower and a hearty dinner, you can relax by the fireplace or enjoy the peaceful ambiance before retiring for the night.

DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK - ARUSHA

After an early breakfast, depart for nearby Lake Manyara National Park, just a 30-minute drive away. Though smaller in size, Manyara is rich in biodiversity and offers an entirely different ecosystem than Tarangire.

The park is set between the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley and the shallow alkaline lake, creating a stunning backdrop for wildlife viewing. You'll begin your morning game drive in a lush groundwater forest where baboons, blue monkeys, and bushbucks roam freely.

As you move further, open grasslands and acacia woodlands reveal large herds of buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and—if you’re lucky—the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Along the lake shore, marvel at the flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and storks that gather in vibrant numbers.

At midday, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch with views of the lake or under the shade of acacia trees. After a final round of wildlife viewing, you’ll begin the journey back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
